Additional Resources on Love

More has probably been written about love than almost any other topic. What is it? Can it even be defined? Fortunately, for believers, love has been given its ultimate definition in the Bible.

When it comes to marriage, Scripture states that the relationship between spouses is supposed to be a living picture of the loving relationship between Christ and His Church. It sounds metaphorical, but in truth each spouse is called to express the practical path of love set out in 1 Corinthians 13 to be patient, kind, humble, forgiving, patient, protecting, persevering, and more. When in a relationship that can be pulled apart by stress, struggles, hurts, and bad habits, living out love might feel like an enormous task. However, God promises to meet those who seek Him. By taking time to study love in the Bible as well as through the example of other believers, we can grow in ability to love our spouses well and experience the blessings of a godly marriage.
