Additional Resources on Reconciliation

Conflict is inevitable, especially in marriage. Instead of viewing conflict as a dead-end, biblical resolution instructs husbands and wives to look deeper at themselves and the struggles faced. Knowing whether the source of frustration is a result of selfishness, an issue on both sides, or even a stressor that can’t be controlled, is the beginning of a process that leads toward one-ness. Scripture clearly explains this process which leads to true peace-making, rather than the “peace-faking” that occurs when we avoid or resist conflict. While confronting conflict might seem intimidating, the work is worth the result of a marriage able to navigate the inevitable storms that arise.
